Blessings of Service....

Last night was our Personal Progress activity. Sis. Hodson helped us towards passing off a few more goals, it was great! We talked about service and took turns sharing acts of service we have witnessed or are grateful for in our lives. Prizes were handed out and Scriptures were read! Afterwards, we all worked together to prepare a "Service" bag. There is a sister in our ward who is battling cancer and starting Chemotherapy on Friday. We got a cute patchwork bag and placed items in it that she can take with her to her treatments. We also tied a fleece lap quilt and put it in the bag. We quickly felt the blessings of service as we went to her home and talked with her and felt of her sweet spirit. She has been amazingly strong through this process and an example to us all. She was very grateful for the gift and we all felt a wonderful feeling as we left her home. Each girl will be working over the next two weeks to finish passing of their goals! Thank you Sister Hodson for a wonderful evening and the opportunity to serve!Sis Morris, we hope you feel "Wrapped" in our love, and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

"Light Keepers"

Last night we had our New Beginnings Program. It turned out wonderful. We decorated the room with lanterns the girls had made, along with lighthouses and pictures of the Savior. Our program went along with our Theme for the year found in Timothy...."Be Thou an Example of the Believers..." We talked about how our lives are like Lighthouses.....we shine for all to see our examples and we bring others in, unto Christ. We used the Jenny Phillips program and music. We topped the night off with yummy cheesecake treats and lots of talking! Thank you to all of the Leaders who helped to make the night wonderful, but especially to all of the Young Women and their parents for their support and participation! It was a wonderful night....not much time for pictures....but of course, we got a few!

Crab Soccer and Dodge Ball.....

Can you hear the screaming? Look at our awesome girls, playing dodge ball with the those Young Men! Awesome, is all I can say!

Crab soccer was hilarious to watch and equally funny to play, right? What made it even funnier, was both exercise balls provided by Brother Watts broke pretty early on! One got popped on the side of a chalk board and another got popped on the air vent. Sorry, Bro. Watts! We owe ya, big time! :)
